This image was inspired by Howl's moving castle. I imagine a world of the future with more equipment. When the ground became overcrowded, people didn’t want to live in a solid building fixed on the ground, they wanted to freely explore everywhere. Homemade houses appeared.
This is my second picture concept of the idea of a moving house.
First of all I created a few thumbnails of the idea of the house (Fig.01).
I painted it a few times, but was not satisfied with the color and the percentage of the mobile home, so I decided to redraw. However, with a clear design I could render it faster (Fig.02).
I find a new tone, different to the bright colors on the first picture. I took more time choosing the tone and took reference from other artists, such as Ian Mcque. I really like his style.
I started with the simplest cubic array. In the past I liked to multiple sources of light on my object with different angles, but now I mostly use a light source to the object, so that it makes the shapes look very strong (Fig.03).
