Heya! I am Michal Kus, concept artist and illustrator based in Guildford working here at EA.
Games. Drawing and Videogames were my main 2 passions since I was a young kid. So combining the 2 was quite easy - I did everything to become a concept artist in the video game industry. My biggest love is in vehicle design. I made tons of them! Trying to come up with new shapes and forms, sketch after sketch on how man made hardware could look in the future and alternate worlds. Lucky enough for me there are a lot of games that need these kind of things! I think in order to be a solid concept artist you have to commit a lot of time into it. That is achievable by having some good discipline and you really need to love it! Furthermore I always focused on a nice presentation of my concepts, I often render them out in detail in order to make it feel rich and believable, I want my viewers to have the urge to touch the metal on my vehicles for example and feel itï¿½s texture!. But design design wise I want them to give them a fresh look on things! Coming up with new things mix it with elements inspired out of our world while keeping it recognizable is a challenge, improvement on that will never stop.
