In 2006, 2dartist was launched to bring the world the best in sci-fi and fantasy digital art, with each issue packed to the brim with techniques, tutorials, interviews, articles, project overviews and galleries, a perfect place to learn from industry professionals to improve and speed up your digital painting skills, and get inspiration for your creations!
Now 2dartist magazine
is 8 years and 100 issues young (how the time flies!) and remains at the forefront of the digital art industry with the continued contributions of the best artists around today!

So far, 2014 has also featured stunning sci-fi masterpieces from Derek Stenning
, a seamless fusion of reality and mythology
with MiklÃ³s FÃ¶ldi horned cover image, and a look at atmospheric fantasy scenes and sci-fi landscapes

The covers of 2013
featured characters galore, heroes and villains from Charlie Bowater
to designing costumes for historic characters by Markus Lovadina
. Pyeongjun Parks
also showed us how to create femme-fatales, while Romanov Pavel
embarked upon his Viking adventure by displaying how to create textures and paint materials on Viking warriors.
For good measure, sci-fi engines also jetted in to the scene, with exoskeletons
and a terrific sci-fi concept from Benoit Godde

2012 was an epic year of creativity for 2dartist

were a varied bunch, with some ever popular pin-up girls by Serge Birault for May
. We also enlisted the caricature master Jason Seiler for the cover of Issue 63
Elsewhere, there were folklorish creatures
, barbaric warriors
